Red Fish powers P&G promotion at Family Dollar stores nationwide.
Procter& Gamble knows how to create a promotion with strong family values. When it wanted to connect with Hispanic consumers an in-store environment, it turned to PowerPact, a national integrated agency, to create an exciting in-store sweepstakes for Hispanic shoppers of more than 700 Family Dollar Stores. PowerPact chose Red Fish Media, an innovative mobile content services company, to help create, host, and manage the “One PC, One Happy Family” mobile text-to-win promotion for P&G. The promotion that starts in May will award five lucky families a FREE computer and one year of Internet Service. Customers at participating Family Dollar Stores will be able to enter the contest by sending a code to a special number from their mobile phones. Red Fish Media will receive and accept the entries as well as provide P&G with the list of all entries.
“We expect customers will be excited when they can enter such a valuable sweepstakes while they are shopping at the store, “said Matt McKenna President of Red Fish Media.
“Historically, mail-in offers and traditional sweepstakes entry methods have not resonated, with less acculturated Hispanics. We do know, however, that Hispanic cell phone ownership is prevalent, and that premium mobile services overindex among Hispanics; so, we believe that providing Hispanic shoppers with this alternate, perhaps more convenient method of entry will encourage participation,” said Carol Hulse, Strategic Planner, PowerPact.
